Portfolios
An alternative to the written resume is a pictorial resume, often called a "portfolio". It's not just pretty pictures; it is to offer proof that you have the skills you claim to have. Certain professions are known for using a portfolio (artists, models, craftsmen, etc.). But in the `80s and `90s, under the influence of books by career experts Eugene Williams, Martin Kimeldorf, and others, the idea has been expanded to include many other professions.
Portfolio Library
Here Martin Kimeldorf describes in great detail his view of what a portfolio can be — the why, the wherefore, and the how to. His form is not by any means the only way to go — it’s long, and directed at educational situations — but it may stimulate your own creativity.
