Ten Hottest Careers in Australia
Don't you wonder what they would name these articles if everybody had six fingers on each hand?

Bureau of Labor Statistics
What is happening in certain industries? What is the turnover for certain careers? Outlook for hiring over the next few years? Regional data? National data? Costs of employment? Demographics of the labor force? Fatalities on the job? Wages by area and occupation? International labor data? And on and on. Anything having to do with work that the government wants to know is here; and trust me, they want to know everything. Note also the next two entries.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook
This is the Bible of occupational fields, put out by the U.S Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, updated every two years, and the place to begin, of course, in researching particular occupational fields. Here you will find descriptions of "what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations".

O*Net Online Skills Search
Know what your skills are, but can't translate that into a job? This page will give you some guidance. Check off the skills that you have, and the site returns job titles.

Vocational Information Center
What a great page! Links to almost everything. Job market information, economic outlook, licensing authorities, and so on.
