Finding People You Know
Networking is all about people. Some of them you know; some of them you don't: not yet, anyway. And even when you know them, you won't always know exactly where they are. Here are a number of tools for finding somebody, when you know who it is you are looking for (and don't forget the Research section, which also has some good resources for finding people):
Yellow.com
From a single form, you can search the Smart Pages, WhitePages.com, Addresses.com, 411.com, InfoUSA, and Yahoo!'s directory listings. There's also pages for doing reverse number look-ups and address searches, and a search for people who have a Web presence. Also a zip- and area code lookup database, with links to maps, services, etc.
Zoom People Finder
Pulling data from a number of resources, this site can come up with surprising results. Enter a name, you'll get a list of people and their business affiliations, sometimes going back for years (this is one instance where outdated information on the Internet can be quite valuable). Click on the name for email address and other data.
ZabaSearch
ZabaSearch provides free address and contact information for names entered, at no charge. More specific information is available for a fee. Unlike Yellow.com and others of that ilk, ZabaSearch does not use telephone-centric resources to look for people; nor does it do Web scans like ZoomInfo. Rather, it claims to use "public records". I'm not sure what that means, exactly : change of address requests? Voter registration databases? I don't know. but I do know that it is often dead accurate, and very current. I also can't help worrying a bit for the world we are becoming, when everything about everyone is stored on multiple computers around the world, and privacy is as rare as noble motives.

Another excellent resource. In addition to finding people and businesses, there are email and reverse phone lookups, and links to public records.
Langenberg.com - PeopleFinder
From a single page, this site allows you to access a number of people-finding resources: the Verizon White Pages, email address searches through BigFoot and Yahoo!, alumni searches, professional associations, Usenet postings, obituaries (!), and the membership lists at MSN and ICQ.
Canada 411
People listings for Canada.
